We aim to create a safe, supportive, and enjoyable community that feels like home for our students.Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe are seeking a Night Manager to join our team and oversee our night staff. This role will lead the evening accommodation management across all residences, providing a consistent overnight presence focusing on high-quality health, safety, well-being and pastoral care support while delivering good administration support. This vital role ensures our students feel safe, supported, and part of a positive community.Your team will be the first point of contact for residents needing pastoral care or well-being support and assistance during the night. While this isn’t a traditional security leadership role, you take the lead, coach and train your team in health, safety and crisis management protocols, pastoral care, first aid treatment to create a secure and supportive environment for our residents.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Be available for night shifts, including weekends, there will be a requirement to attend training during the day and/or operational meetings on occasions
Experience
Experience working within a similar environment is desirable and experience managing and leading teamsHave leadership experience and skillsIdeally, have experience providing pastoral care or supportPossess strong communication skills, able to lead, coach, train and guide staff on processes, procedures and Health and Safety management
