Job Description
The COO Platform Development team within BlackRock Global Markets ("BGM") is seeking a London based business manager to work with the leadership team in support of the Markets platform and related activities. The team is responsible for governance, oversight and evolution of the platform, risk management, business continuity and large strategic projects across the three BGM Markets businesses of Trading, ETF Markets and BlackRock Capital Markets. Why is your role important?In this role you will represent BGM Markets in broader firm wide critical initiatives while pursuing operational excellence and discipline to deliver for our clients. You will work closely with all Markets teams and key business partners, internally and externally, to run cross-functional projects and ensure timely completion. You will also support the innovation of the business platform through the introduction of new technologies and processes, whilst managing risk in a high-volume environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and independently across regions with market facing colleagues from all asset classes, portfolio managers and business partners, to drive consensus decision making and deliver key markets related strategic projects. A fundamental knowledge and keen interest in capital markets, technology and ongoing developments in the changing landscape of trading are preferred. What will you be doing?
