This Automation Engineer role involves working for one of the largest banks in Australia and exists to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications through automated testing ensuring adherence to relevant standards and processes. The role has strong potential of career growth based on performance.Your main duties and responsibilities will include:Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of web applications.Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand requirements and create a test strategy that covers critical functionality and use cases.Design and implement test cases that thoroughly cover user stories, business requirements, and risk based scenarios.Run automated tests on different environments to ensure continuous feedback for different test phases.Analyse test results, identify and document defects, and provide detailed reports on test execution and outcomes.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and rapid feedback during the development cycle.Ensure that automated tests are updated and maintained in line with changes to the application and its requirements.Keep up to date with the latest developments in Selenium and other relevant technologies to continuously improve testing practices.
