Job Description
The Azure Site Reliability Engineer plays an important role in operational management and service improvement cycle of the Azure Public cloud. It is a hands-on role responsible for excellent operational outcomes and team leadership of the public cloud operations DevOps engineers. The role presents immediate career growth opportunity to a motivated competent public cloud developer.This position is accountable for service operations KPIs such as monitoring, incident and problem management, security and cost management, and delivery on service improvement initiatives.You will lead a team responsible for operational management of Azure cloud platforms for the bank. In addition, this role is #LI-Hybrid and open to both Sydney and Melbourne based candidates.
Responsibilities + Skills
Lead, develop and grow a team of Azure Operations engineering team, in accordance with Westpacs people principles and processes, including developing optimal structures and clear accountabilities, maximising employee performance, providing mentoring and coaching, etc.
Education
Demonstrate knowledge of logging, monitoring and alerting technologies such as CloudWatch and Splunk.Demonstrate knowledge across compute technologies: EC2 instances, Docker and Kubernetes or ECS.
