Job Description
As Growth Head, you’ll lead strategic growth initiatives that drive innovation, collaboration, and sustainable business performance and will be responsible to design the distribution strategy and implement the distribution channels for cell captive insurance, a new business unit within the Insure Pillar. This role will require engagements across all segments within FirstRand, including WesBank and C&I and sits at the intersection of design thinking, strategic foresight, and execution — supporting FNB’s purpose of staying curious and delivering adaptive, customer-centered solutions.Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute medium to long-term growth strategies aligned to FNB’s overall vision, anticipating market shifts and shaping future business opportunities.Financial & Resource Management:Build budgets that enable sustainable growth, monitor cost-benefit ratios, and optimize resource allocation to maximize stakeholder value.Collaboration & Integration:Foster strong partnerships across product houses (e.g., WesBank, RMB) and business units to drive synergy and shared success.Revenue & Market Expansion:Set and deliver on revenue targets by identifying, developing, and executing new market and cross-segment opportunities.Governance & Compliance:Implement robust governance and compliance frameworks to ensure operational excellence and regulatory alignment.People & Change Leadership:Build high-performing teams, drive accountability, and lead change through clear communication and influence at all organizational levels.Operational Model Design:Develop and optimize multi-functional operating models that align value chains with organizational goals.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Matric (Grade 12Degree or Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Strategy, Economics, or Marketing)510 years in growth strategy, business development, or corporate sales23 years in team managementProven experience in the insurance sector (strongly preferred)Familiarity with FirstRand Group channels, especially WesBank and RMB, advantageous
