Job Description:Environmental SpecialstQatar Parsons is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that environmental regulations and policies are adhered to throughout the execution of sewerage, surface, and ground water networks project, monitor and assess environmental impacts, provide guidance on mitigation measures, and work with the team to maintain compliance with environmental laws and standards . What You'll Be Doing:Monitoring environmental performance on-site during the construction of sewerage, surface, and ground water network projects, ensuring that all work adheres to environmental laws, regulations, and project-specific environmental requirements.Conducting environmental site assessments to identify potential impacts related to excavation, dewatering, wastewater management, and other activities related to water network construction.Implementing and enforcing environmental management plans, including waste management, pollution control, and water quality management during project execution.Ensuring compliance with all local, national, and international environmental regulations, including guidelines for air, water, and soil quality standards for underground works and water networks.
Responsibilities & skills
Education
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or environmental compliance, with at least 3 years focusing on sewerage, surface, and ground water networks projects or similar infrastructure projects.
