Job description
Responsibilities:· Maintaining proper lubrication for the propulsion engine and other shipboard equipment· Performing engine room watches and monitoring gauge readings· Assisting superiors in starting and operating machinery· Cleaning, lubricating and servicing machinery· Conducting maintenance, repairs and overhauls of the engine-room machinery· Work under the direction, guidance, and training of the Chief Engineer.· Assist with vessel repairs and greasing equipment within the factory including pumps, motors, belts, and conveyors.· Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities & skills
Education
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Certification or training in oiling and lubrication techniques and equipment maintenance is preferred.
Experience
Proven experience as an Oiler and Greaser in an Oil and Gas/ marine industry. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to adhere to them strictly.
