JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THIRD ENGINEER:Act as an understudy of the Second Engineer.Perform sea and ports watch keeping.Maintain the boiler and perform cooler water tests.Monitor all pump lines, provision reefer, emergency pump lines and ship’s spare and stores.Report to the upkeep of the steam boiler and associated auxiliaries, refrigerating equipment and other machineries assigned by the Chief engineer.Report to the Chief Engineer any problem observed in the handling of the said equipment.Manage fuel consumption.Be custodian of Engine Log Book and other engineering records.Perform such other functions as may be assigned by the 2nd Engineer.

Education
BSC/HND in Marine Engineering or in any related field.Minimum of 3-5 years work experience
