Job DescriptionManage Crew Competency and Mentor CadetsIdentify competency gaps in crew members and develop training plan to close out all identified gapsLiaise with clients on operational expectations.Ensure relevant contractual standards are observed onboardMonitor vessel operation and review daily reports from vesselsCoordinate vessel support including crew change, supplies, and port visit for repairs.Develop and implement budget.Manage vessel deck requisitions from request to delivery.Ensure that all vessel operations are carried out in a healthy and safe manner and in strict adherence to safety rules and proceduresTrack the status of all surveys and vessel trading certificates and ensure timely renewal.Prepare the vessel and ensure the success of the following external audits: OVID/SUPO, Class survey, Client inspections, Flag state inspections.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
First Degree from reputable academic institution
Experience
10 - 15 years relevant work experience.Good knowledge of Marine Safety Management Systems and ISM codeExcellent Organization and Supervisory SkillsGood knowledge of Offshore and Ship OperationManagement of Risks and Emergencies
