Job Description

The Maintenance Officer will play a critical role in sustaining the smooth operation of plastic production machinery and facility systems. This position ensures that injection molding machines, extrusion lines, blow molding equipment, and utilities run at peak performance with minimal downtime. The role demands proactive preventive maintenance, swift troubleshooting, and adherence to industry-specific safety and quality standards to support continuous production in a fast-paced plastic manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute preventive and corrective maintenance on plastic processing machines (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, cutting, sealing, etc.).Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical faults specific to plastic production equipment and carry out timely repairs.Respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimize production losses and ensure uninterrupted operations.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, machine history, and spare parts usage.Support installation, commissioning, and calibration of new plastic processing machinery.Ensure compliance with plastic industry safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.Requirements & QualificationsHND / BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.3–5 years of practical maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment (plastic industry experience is an added advantage).Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in plastic processing.Proven experience with injection molding machines, extrusion lines, blow molding equipment, and utilities.Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and preventive maintenance best practices.
