JOB DESCRIPTION – FLEET HODJob Title: Fleet HOD (Head of Fleet)Location: Lagos, NigeriaEmployment Type: Full-TimeIndustry: Manufacturing / Building Materials / Ceramics / Construction ProductsReports To: Head of Operations / General ManagerJOB SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced and highly organised Fleet HOD to oversee the company's fleet operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective movement of raw materials, finished products, equipment, and personnel.The successful candidate will manage the company's fleet of trucks and other commercial vehicles, coordinate drivers, oversee vehicle maintenance, monitor fuel consumption, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement systems that optimise fleet utilisation and reduce operating costs.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Fleet Operations ManagementOversee the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet and ensure vehicles are available and fit for purpose.Plan and coordinate vehicle allocation, dispatch, routing, and delivery schedules.Ensure timely movement of raw materials, finished products, and other goods to designated locations.Monitor fleet utilisation and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, production, sales, and other departments to meet transportation requirements.
