Discrete Control System Operator - Power Plant, Dangote Suga
Job description
Job Description/Requirements We are looking for a Discrete Control System Operator (DCS) - Power Plant to join our team at Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc. As a Discrete Control System Operator - Power Plant, he/she will be accountable for the Operation, Maintenance, Control System of Power Plant, and downtime of Power Plant.Roles & Responsibilities1. Responsible for overseeing of the operation and performance of a distributed control system.2. Ensure trouble-free operation of all Power Plant equipment by adopting Preventive /predictive maintenance.3. Oversee and ensure safe smooth and efficient operation of the process plant and utilities system.4. Maintaining & troubleshooting of all types of systems of the plant to enable achieving the Power Generation as per the target by adopting and initiating necessary action and corrective measures.5. Maintains the history cards of the equipment encountered and keeps track of maintenance activities attended.6. Operates Control panel to regulate temperature, pressure, rate flow, and take level in processing.7. Shall report to the DCS Engineer Power Plant any events of Operational of Equipment and its parameters complications.
Responsibilities & skills
Education
Must hold a minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Turbine Engineering.
Experience
Has at least 5-7 years of experience in operating Power Plants, with Bagasse Based Power Plant experience being an added advantage.
