Technical Manager - Highway Surfacing

You will work on this project to ensure effective quality control is maintained in accordance with Health & Safety and technical specification requirements ensuring this project comes in on time and within budget from a technical perspective. This role is working in Cambridgeshire at the client’s office at Wintringham.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Role ResponsibilityThe Technical Manager will be experienced in all aspects of Asphalt, Concrete, Surfacing and Pave technology and drive the team to deliver this highly strategic ongoing project that is fundamental for operational and business growth. To ensure effective liaison and team working with the wider business and the main contractor. To minimise complaint costs and establish S&OP’s in conjunction with cross-function managers. The Technical Manager will have the responsibility for ensuring sampling and testing requirements are fully met and that the site is operated safely and efficiently. This role shall include a ‘hands-on’ approach to assist where required. The role will be responsible for all reporting both internally and externally for QA, financial aspects. You will manage all technicians on the contract from conception through to delivery, you will have the ability to problem solve, innovate, and drive technical performance to the highest levels.
