What you'll be doingIn this role, you as the successful Assistant Transport Manager will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)Ensuring Tarmac meets all statutory obligations of the rules and regulations in respect of Operator Licence, Transport Legislation and Company proceduresManaging induction, training & development plans and briefings for all driversEnsures all drivers are suitably trained, including Driver CPC requirements and customer service trainingEnsuring all documents are up to date and appropriately recorded and filed to ensure regulations are fully metEnsuring Transport Operator Licences are fully legally compliant within the regionUndertaking Health & Safety investigations as requiredDeputising for the Transport Manager when requiredWhat we are looking forWe are looking for an Assistant Transport Manager who is ideally:In receipt of a Certificate of Professional CompetenceKnowledge of Transport legislation regarding ‘O’ Licence, Drivers Hours, Construction and Use RegulationsKnowledge of road health & safety managementWhy Tarmac?You’ll be joining a collaborative, innovative team.
