We are seeking a Junior Project Accountant to sit within our Finance team on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). This position offers growth, exposure to an industry leading contractor and a supportive environment.This role will suit someone who is confident and dynamic, at the beginning of their accounting career, and would like to pursue, or is currently pursuing their CPA qualification.Key responsibilitiesBuild and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders internallyEnsure accurate and timely reporting of financial informationProvide financial analysis to assist in assessing profitabilityIdentify and assess areas for continuous process improvements
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experienceCurrently completing or willing to complete a CPA/CA/CFAExtensive experience in finance and accounting roles, including project accounting, analysis, budgeting & forecastingPrevious experience in project accounting within a multi-disciplinary environmentPrevious experience with JDEGS or large ERP system and strong Excel capabilitySelf-motivated, results-focused and able to work under pressure
