Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an Engineering Manager to lead and expand an Application Maintenance and Modernisation Centre of Excellence within the Westpac Group. This role offers a unique chance to take full accountability for the end-to-end management and modernisation of user-developed applications (UDAs) on behalf of customer business units. The focus will be on ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and that all work is delivered on time, with no disruption to business operations.
Responsibilities + Skills
Certifications in Microsoft Office Specialist and/or automation technologies (e.g., Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Platform) are highly desirable.Desirable knowledge: JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, C#, HTML, .NET, Microsoft Azure, RESTful web services, ASP.NET.Experience in agile ways of working.Proven ability to liaise with Senior Management.

Previous experience demonstrating independent decision-making and self-management in complex projectsExperience in database design and building/supporting solutions using VBA, SQL, Previous experience in leading/mentoring talentExperience working in a large, complex organization, preferably in financial services.
