Job description
Job Purpose:A Cloud Engineer deploys, debugs, and executes initiatives related to cloud computing. They design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies. They also interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.Accountability Area:Monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and web-based securityConduct regular security assessments and risk analysesStrong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWSPractical knowledge of AWS foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies.Develop and implement security policies and proceduresRobust micro services programming (AWS Lambda, Docker, etc.)Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications and ample experience in high level programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual BasicCapability architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability.DevOps know-how and Collaborate with our DevOps team to ensure that security is integrated into our development process building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment, build and test automation technologies like ansible, chef, puppet, docker, jenkins, etc.
Responsibilities & skills
Education
Bachelors degree in a relevant major such as Computer Science or Information Systems.10 - 15+ years of experience in security engineering, design and implementation. Thorough understanding of network defense technologies, TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, network security monitoring tools, secure engineering principles, and technical security testing
Experience
Proven work experience as a network security engineer or information security engineer. Experience in creating and maintaining security systems. Thorough understanding of the latest technologies, security principles, and protocols
