Job description
Job DescriptionThe Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to conduct research on advanced membranes and electrochemical technologies for sustainable energy and environmental applications. The successful candidate will develop and characterize functional materials, perform laboratory experiments, analyze results, and contribute to publications and technical reports. Responsibilities also include supporting student supervision and collaborating with a multidisciplinary research team.
Responsibilities & skills
Education
A PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a closely related field. Demonstrated research experience in membrane technology, electrocatalysis, or electrochemical systems. Hands-on experience in materials synthesis, characterization, and experimental data analysis. A record of relevant peer-reviewed publications. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a commitment to laboratory safety.

Perform procedures within the lab, operate and maintain al equipment necessary to carry out these procedures.Perform a variety of metabolic tests using standard techniques and equipment; perform related duties in the laboratory to include specimen handling, using manual and automatic equipment to test specimens.Supervise and assign lab staff to various benches and tasks.Calibrate and maintain instrumentation according to standard operating procedure.Perform procedures within the laboratory in accordance with protocol and licensing regulations.Recognize the need for additional procedures and performs tests as required.Identify technical problems or unusual test results and take appropriate corrective action.
