Job Description:Traffic EngineerQatar Parsons is looking for a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our project site team! In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of traffic control and traffic management systems to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow on and around the project site, collaborate with contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders to optimize traffic operations, ensuring minimal disruption to the public and construction progress. What You'll Be Doing:Managing traffic operations on-site to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and construction equipment.Developing and implementing traffic management plans for construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.Designing, coordinating, and overseeing the installation of temporary traffic control devices (such as signs, barriers, and traffic signals) to safely guide traffic around the project site.
Responsibilities & skills
Education
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in traffic engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in site-specific traffic management for construction projects.
