At Central Maine Healthcare our team members are committed to providing exceptional care and experiences for our community and for each other every day.Essential Duties:Performs clinical assessment of the patient and conditions in order to select the appropriate equipment for the sonography examination based on established protocols to be followed.Perform Two Identifiers and complete hand hygiene. Explains the test to the patient. Instructs and assists the patient in assuming the physical position for examination.Demonstrates ability to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Responsibilities + Skills
Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
Education
Prefer two years of radiologic/imaging experience.Specific experience and training in Ultrasound and proficient knowledge of Ultrasound Equipment ARDMS Registered
