JOB SUMMARYThe Behavioral Services Tech functions as a key member of an interdisciplinary team providing highly structured psychiatric and or substance abuse services to the population served. Behavioral Services Techs function under the direct supervision of an RN.Scope of Service:Inpatient Behavioral Services consists of D3 (a 13-bed adolescent (12–18 years) psychiatric unit, C4 (an 18-bed adult psychiatric unit), and D4 (an 18-bed detox/rehab unit).

Education
In lieu of certification, college training in mental health technology, behavioral science, social work, rehabilitation therapy, or its equivalent may be substituted for the general experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling six (6) months of experience up to a maximum of two (2) years.
