Control Room Superintendent
Job description
• Control Room Superintendent will actively promote safety culture and hazard awareness and ensure relevant Mining and other statutory Codes and Regulations are in full force at the workplace.• He will be responsible for performing skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of access control, and security systems hardware and software.• He will take appropriate actions in case of irregularities or emergencies. Ensure the efficient working of the control room by ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, current legislation, and the codes of practice.
Responsibilities & skills
Education
BSc / Diploma in Mining Engineering or equivalent. Mine Captain's Certificate of Competency or equivalent
Experience
A minimum of Five (5) to eight (8) years' operational experience within an underground mining environment of which at least three (3) years is at supervisory level; fleet management system and SCADA application environment.
