Our innovative products and solutions not only deliver the infrastructure needed to grow the UK economy today, but also help to create a more sustainable built environment for the country’s long-term future.We're looking for a Security Officer to join our friendly team at Tunstead in Buxton.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Role ResponsibilityIn the role of Security Officer you will be responsible for:Providing security and safety of staff, contractors, visitors, site buildings and their contents throughout a 24 hour cycle, 365 days per year. This requirement means the post holder will be required to work a shift system.Attend & pro-actively deal with any security or traffic related incident in a professional manner compliant with site safety standards.Provide a proficient first point of contact for all site visitors ensuring the relevant safety induction is delivered.
Responsibilities + Skills
Current SIA License or training will be given to obtain these.A good knowledge and appreciation of current security environments, the potential risks and threats and actions to mitigate these.
Education
Use of IT software (Word, Excel, Gmail, PowerPoint)Current first aid certificate from a recognised institute.
