AstraZeneca is seeking a skilled and dedicated Lab Manager to join our Biopharmaceutical Development team within Analytical Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, ensuring the efficient and effective conduct of research and development activities. You will provide leadership to the lab team and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This role will require you to be on site for 5 days per week. Summary of the group:In the Analytical Sciences – Physicochemical Development teams we enable the advancement of AZ’s biologics and new modalities portfolio using industry-leading analytical technologies. We are responsible for establishing platform methodologies and analytical strategies capable of supporting the pharmaceutical development of diversified modalities, that will become life-changing medicines. Key Responsibilities:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring a safe and productive working environment.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.Maintain laboratory equipment, liaising with external vendors or partners where needed, ensuring it is properly calibrated and serviced.Manage laboratory inventory.
