Job Description
We are now looking for an Indigenous Participation Advisor to join our highly skilled Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team . Reporting directly to the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Director for QTMP, you will be responsible for leading engagement initiatives and identifying new opportunities for indigenous participation. This rewarding role will see you:Work closely with the recognised Traditional Owners for the program sites and take the lead for engagement with project First Nations groups and committeesWork closely with our subcontractors on their indigenous engagement initiativesOrganise activities for significant Indigenous cultural eventsPrepare communications collateral, as required.This is a part time role on a 2 year fixed-term contract. Applicants can be based in Brisbane or on the Fraser Coast, and will have travel between locations.

Community connections and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and organisations highly desiredStrong communication skills both written and verbal
Education
5+ years relevant experience in communications and engagementQualifications in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or equivalentExperience in a similar role highly desiredAn understanding of systemic barriers and challenges experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
