Job Description
JOB SUMMARYThe Medical Assistant functions as a critical member of the medical office team, working towards the goals of the practice and meeting patient needs. They are responsible for coordinating patient flow, obtaining temperature, pulse blood pressure, and weight, and administering care to patients as directed by physicians. The MA will develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients and families, keeping patient information confidential and respecting patient's right to privacy
Responsibilities + Skills
Must be certified by a nationally recognized organization, with included competency (AAMA or NHA), or a graduate of a 2-year accredited program AND obtain certification within 6 months of hire
Education
2 year Associates degree in credentialed Medical Assistant program preferred
