Job Description
Key TasksAssemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures.Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems, locate cause of breakdown and correct problem or make necessary recommendations on what needs to be done.Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, need for adjustment, need for repair and compliance with codes etc.Advice on whether continued operation of equipment; tool, component, fixture or electrical system could be hazardous.Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures etc to ensure compatibility and safety of system.Expected to be able to use electrical devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes etc.Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance in offices and equipment.Trouble shooting of electrical faults and advising on best solutions possible.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Possession of applicable Electrical Training certificates will also be an added advantage.
Experience
Diagnostic skills manually and with machine.Minimum of 5 years experience doing Electrical jobs or in a company in the same capacity.Minimum of SSCE Certificate or Trade Test Certificate.
