This role will contribute to the maintenance, development and implementation of policies and procedures, in alignment with current Malaysian legislation and industry best practice. Works with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the business adopts an effective approach in engaging staff on matters in relations to industrial relations (IR). What are you accountable for?Manage IR matters such as comprehensive planning in resolving company-wide disciplinary matters - including conducting investigation and holding domestic inquiries. Provide support, guidance and recommendations to the business process labour disputes and grievances in a proper and timely manner. Monitor and ensure company-wide compliance by educating managers on a range of employment laws topics to ensure legal complianceProject manage the Maxis Code of Business Practice such as review of the code in ensuring that it is in line with company’s initiatives and aspiration. Manage the annual employee acknowledgement exercise and ensure compliance of the Code by the employeesCreate and initiate awareness sessions/ organize awareness programsMaintain cordial relationship with government authorities i.e. labour office, IR department, external counsels, government authorities, etc 

Bachelors Degree specialised in Human Resources and Labour LawMinimum of 8 years relevant experience in IR mattersFamiliar with IR, Employment Acts, Labour Laws and counselling and coaching
