Job Description

The Core Portfolio Manager will be responsible for order execution, cash flow management and compliance monitoring to ensure the investment strategy is properly implemented. They will also support the team with operational process improvements and management of data changes as well as leveraging related systems and platforms. Description The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the investment team, have strong analytical and quantitative skills and have a proven track record of successfully working with a broader team of partners. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker with excellent attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal skills. * Execute equity, derivative & FX orders across a range of active strategies as instructed by portfolio managers and partner with the trading desk for efficient execution * Manage cash flow activity and cash allocation through derivative equitization, basket orders and individual stock trading * Monitor that investment strategies are being effectively executed across all target accounts as per client guidelines * Produce regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis to support the investment team's processes utilizing Aladdin applications, APIs and vendor systems (Bloomberg) * Leverage technical skills to evolve processes and implement robust and efficient solutions to reduce overall operational risk * Learn market trends and build trust within the investment team to enable active investors to focus on alpha generation Working closely with other members of the investment team, candidates should possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, as well as a proven track record to work in collaboration with a wide range of partner teams. Successful candidates will possess outstanding attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and have a passion for thinking critically. * Implementation of equity, derivative & FX orders across a range of active strategies instructed by portfolio managers, partnering with trading desks to target * Efficient execution. * Handle cash flow activity and overall cash allocations through derivative equitization, basket orders, and single-stock transactions. * Monitor funds to ensure investment strategy is implemented effectively across applicable accounts in accordance with client guidelines. * Produce periodic and ad hoc reporting and analytics to support the investment teams' processes leveraging Aladdin applications and APIs, as well as vendor systems (Bloomberg.) * Leverage strong technical skills to evolve processes and implement robust and efficient solutions whilst reducing the overall operational risk. * Be a student of the markets, build credibility within the investment team, create scale so active investors can focus on alpha generation. Profile Required Skills: * 1-2 years general finance related experience * Knowledge, interest and eagerness to learn in finance and investment management * Technical skills in data sourcing (e.g. Bloomberg/Aladdin). VPA/SQL/Python coding skills a plus * Strong process oriented personality, including implementation of controls and procedures. Able to demonstrate a strong awareness of operational risk issues * Understanding and dedication to promoting an inclusive and diverse culture * Fluent in both native-level Japanese and business-level English * Flexible, responsive and self-starting personality, with experience working individually and in a team in a highly collaborative global environment Education: * Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or related field required.
