Job SummaryAs a Transport Officer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to and from sites. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing transportation efficiency.Primary ResponsibilitiesLogistics Coordination:• Plan and coordinate the transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to project sites.• Collaborate with the Head of Administration, site managers, site supervisors, and other relevant stakeholders to determine transportation needs.Fleet Management:• Coordinate and manage a fleet of vehicles, including trucks and specialized construction equipment.• Oversee the maintenance and operation of the company's vehicle fleet.• Schedule regular maintenance checks for all vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Familiarity with transportation management software and GPS systems.

Candidate must possess a minimum of Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation management, or a related field. Must have a minimum of five (5) years proven experience in a transportation or logistics role, preferably in the construction or mining industry. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in transportation is required.
