Job Description
Technical Accounting SupportActs as Group Financial Reporting (GFR) representative who provides accounting support to a number of AZ teams globally including Corporate Strategy (covering external investments and joint ventures) and tax, which includes involvement in the Country by Country reporting requirements.Provides technical accounting advice and support as required to all SET areas, financial controllers, embedded finance partners and the deal finance team, including review of Accounting Issue Notes and collaboration with the business to ensure compliance with IFRS and the AstraZeneca Group Accounting Manual.Plays a significant role in the implementation of new accounting standards across AZ, ensuring timely updates to the Group Accounting Manual and additional application guidance.Provide significant input into the preparation and delivery of technical accounting training across the AZ finance community.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Oversee the co-ordination of individual Accounting Issue Notes.Oversee the co-ordination of GFR quarterly SET area accounting issues collation process and prepare the document used to brief the auditors (PwC), the Group Financial Controller and the CFO.
Experience
Significant post-qualification experience particularly in IFRS reportingExperience of working across a global organisationIn-depth understanding of regulatory/statutory requirements and governance principles/SOX across multiple jurisdictions
