Job Description
As our HGV Driver, you’ll report into the Transport Manager and play a key role in daytoday operations. Your responsibilities will include:Carrying out regular checks on lorries and trailers, reporting defects promptly to the fitter and officeEnsuring all journeys are completed safely, legally and in line with driving regulationsPlanning journeys in accordance with STGO Category 2 movement orders to ensure planers arrive on site for the correct shift start timesLiaising closely with the Planer Foreman and Operatives to ensure effective teamwork on siteTransporting planed materials from site to designated tipping locationsAccurately recording planing loads and tip details on load transfer tickets and returning these to the officeComplying with company standards and procedures and maintaining regular communication with the NRP Transport Manager
