Are you a General Operative looking for your next permanent role? Then read on as we may just have the role for you……We are looking for a General Operative to join the team at our Elstow Aggregates and Asphalt site in Bedfordshire. Within this role you will work on the day-to-day operations driving mobile plant and carrying out other site duties. You will work with the team to the site plan, ensuring that all stocks are maintained and replenished in good time, while keeping housekeeping around site to a high standard.Main ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Operations Manager, the responsibilities of the General Operative will include (not exhaustive):Operating mobile plant on siteWorking with other members of the team to ensure that customers receive good-quality material and on-time deliveriesAssisting the Supervisor with meeting daily and weekly production targetsFollowing SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) policies and proceduresEnsuring plant conforms with safety requirements at all timesCarrying out health, safety, environmental and quality responsibilitiesConducting inspections on plant, identifying defects, and implementing remedial actionsEnsuring that plant availability is maximisedMaintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site
