As well as Bredbury and Stockport this role is easily accessible from Oldham, Bolton, Blackburn, St Helens, Warrington, Manchester, Chester, Crewe, Stoke on Trent, Macclesfield, Huddersfield, Leeds and the surrounding areas.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Role ResponsibilityReporting to the Production Manager the role of Plant Supervisor (Readymix) is an operational role and the suitable candidate will also support the RMX Production Manager in managing and being accountable for the RMX operations on our plant. Safety and operational standards are the fundamentals of the role of Plant Supervisor (Readymix) with delivery to customer needs and performance improvement being key.Key Tasks and Responsibilities include:Supporting the RMX Production Manager in the management of plant compliance with business policies and proceduresBatching concrete to meet customer needs whilst meeting internal quality requirementsEnsuring Readymix deliveries are met, engaging with Readymix Distribution Teams throughoutWorking closely with Readymix Technical Teams to ensure quality control of all productsHaulier management - coordinating collection loads dailySupervising Contractors (no direct reports)Ensuring that legislative compliance is also a strong aspect of the role
