Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Store Clerk to join our Metro team to support our: Grocery, Produce, & Bakery departments. As a Store Clerk, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the store.Duties:- Greet customers and assist them in finding products- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with customers- Maintain a clean and organized store environment- Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently- Promote special sales and offers to customers
Responsibilities & skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude- Must be able to lift 50lbs repetitively and unassisted, and stand for long periods of time- Phone etiquette skills for answering customer inquiries via phone- French language proficiency is an asset
Education
- Experience in cashiering, cash handling, or retail sales is preferred- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail- Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude
