Description: The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in Computer Engineering. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2026. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related area by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths. Eligibility and willingness to register as a Professional Engineer in Ontario is highly desirable. We seek candidates conducting research in Computer Engineering, with a focus on Software Systems and Cybersecurity. We are especially interested in candidates who have expertise in operating systems, distributed systems, cloud computing, database systems, systems security, network security, blockchain systems, privacy, and cryptography. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and collaborative academic community dedicated to excellence in research, teaching, and service.
