Reporting to the Manager for Cardiac Diagnostics, the Neurodiagnostic Technologist plays an essential role in the diagnosis of health conditions affecting the muscles and nerve cells, brain diseases, injury and tumor. The successful candidate will possess the knowledge, skills and judgement to independently perform complex diagnostic testing such as electroencephalography (EEG), and electromyography (EMG) through nerve conductive studies (NCS) using specialized and sensitive electronic diagnostic equipment in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Member in good standing of the Canadian Association of EEG Technologists (CAET) and the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (AETC)Preferably 2 years clinical experience performing EEG, EMG, NCS with demonstrated ability to work independentlyGood knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, infection control, basic electronics and electrical safety

College/University undergraduate degree in a Health Sciences, or related field with an in-depth knowledge of neurophysiologyDiploma from a recognized neurodiagnostic technologist program
