Job Description

We are seeking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Concrete Block Manufacturing Division.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting automated machinery used in block production.Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive & Predictive Maintenance: Design and execute a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to reduce emergency breakdowns. Perform regular inspections of mixers, hydraulic presses, conveyors, curing chambers, and block packaging machinery.Breakdown Repairs & Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults to minimise production downtime.Machinery Optimisation: Improve equipment reliability and performance by analysing, modifying, or upgrading systems (e.g., PLC troubleshooting, hydraulic upgrades).Documentation & Spare Parts Management: Maintain accurate maintenance logs using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Manage inventory of critical spare parts and tools.Safety Compliance: Ensure all machinery meets health and safety regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, guarding, and PPE compliance.Contractor & Team Supervision: Supervise maintenance technicians and coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs.Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC-controlled automated machinery.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.Familiarity with welding and fabrication.
