Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer , which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence . Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Radio Frequency Engineer in Canberra to work at the Land Network Integration Centre . What You’ll DoThis role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:Conduct Test & Evaluation of RF systems and waveforms , ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with Defence requirements.Maintain and ensure serviceability of RF test equipment , supporting ongoing operational readiness.Provide SME advice on RF systems and combat platforms , including EMI/EMC considerations, and coordinate engineering efforts across Defence stakeholders.Support development, deployment, and improvement of RF test tools and test plans , contributing to TCNBL and broader Defence capability.Lead operational analysis, riskreduction activities, and acceptance testing , while participating in program events and upholding APS conduct, ethics, and safety standards.
